Races, June 7th and June 8th


CONGRATS TO…

·         San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon – Congrats to Christina Curley who finished 3rd in her age group out of 74 ladies!  That is extremely impressive in such a large race!!  Way to go!

 

·         Boise 70.3

o   Caryn Galeckas finished 6th!  Nice!

“It's the morning after the race, and I'm still exhausted. This ranks among my hardest races ever. I walked across the finish line! But I finished, and even came in 6th out 10 in my old lady division. Praise God for the strength to persevere.”

o   Flor Hodges qualified for 70.3 Worlds!

“10th fastest swim, 1st fastest bike split, 3rd fastest run delivers 2nd in AG for Ironman Boise 70.3”

o   Suzanne Hartley finished 33rd in her very competitive age group!

“Ironman Boise 70.3 was tough yesterday, with strong winds, but I'm tougher! Didn't make my time goals, but finished proud. Thankful for good health and good challenges.”

 

·         Twilight Trail Adventure Run

o   10K Run

§  Austin Twietmeyer finished 1st in his age group & 10th Overall!

§  Rachel Gunsalus & Palmer Fliss  finished together literally! 

“My ankle rolled in a divot on the trail about 2 miles out, and Palmer carried me from there to the finish. It wasn't our fastest 10k we've ever run, but it was definitely the most memorable! I’m on the mend.”

§  Tamara Diedrichs finished 3rd in her age group even after getting knocked down by another runner early on!  Way to persevere!

 
·         Folsom Tri Racers

o   Sprint

§  Janell Peterson finished 9th in her age group!

§  Kris Kennedy finished 5th in his age group!  Great job!

§  Todd Osterberg finished 10th in his age group in his first ever triathlon!

“I met all of my goals and learned more things that will prove to be useful down the road.  Now I need to get my head around how to stretch out the distances for all three disciplines and focus on improving the run.  Taking on 10 more miles before Tahoe 70.3 will be an uphill battle.” (For full report, click here)”

§  Connie Wilson finished 2nd in her age group!

“…beat last year's time by 14 minuets! 1.5K swim, 40K mile bike 10K run....Phew!”

§  Dave Campbell finished 1st in his age group by 10 minutes in 90+ weather!! “Did the Folsom Olympic race today in the heat. Was happy with my results and gave it all I had. I was like 4th on the run for an old guy, and finally broke 40 with a 39:10 showing.”

§  Elise Winter finished 1st in her age group and was the 2nd woman of the day!!  Nice job!

§  Sara McKinley finished 1st for woman in the AquaBike!  Wow, well done!

§  Trixie Bradley finished 5th in her age group!  Her husband Mike finished 7th!  Great job Team Bradley
